How does the exchange of money work over the Internet?

Do they just tack it on your Internet bill? Do they send a bill to your house? More specifically, how does money exchange work on the stock market (online)? How do selling stuff on ebay and winning prizes over the internet play into all of this?

  1. Some people have credit cards, while other people use PayPal.
  2. Most use Pay Pal
  3. In the modern age you can do everything electronically that you do in person. You can access your bank account, make payments, pay by credit card, etc. Nothing unusual about doing business online.
  4. credit card
  5. When buying stuff on the Internet IE eBay)you should use pay pal or google checkout which is a service that will pay the seller by accessing either your credit card or your bank account.. whichever you authorize. Do not pay any other way! When you make stock trades or purchases on line, they also will provide you with a secure way to make your payment or trade. Most vendors (eBay, stocks etc) do not bill you.. you must use their form of secure payment to pay.
  6. It's just mail order via a new medium. With a credit card it's just like ordering via the phone or mail, except faster and encrypted.
